1 · Data Controller

This website and the Starside Panel are operated by E-LAB Music Edizioni Musicali di Amato Francesco, trading as Starside Records, with registered office at Via Baldassarre Biassa 73, 19121 La Spezia (SP), Italy. For any privacy request, contact info@starsidemusic.com.

2 · Data We Collect

We only collect personal data you choose to send us:

• Email correspondence — when you submit a demo, a booking request, or a press enquiry via the email links on this site, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
• Starside Panel account — if you subscribe to the Starside Panel: your name, email address, a securely hashed password, your plan and subscription status, your credit balance and its movements.
• Payments — payments are handled by Link (Sold through Link, LLC), a Stripe company that sells the subscription to you as our reseller and processes your payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details; we keep your Stripe customer reference and a card fingerprint provided by Stripe, used only to allow one free trial per card.
• Files and results — audio files you upload to Lyrics Lab or Audio Analysis, and the results of your jobs (for example transcribed lyrics, tempo, key and arrangement data).
• Security data — the IP address, username and outcome of sign-in attempts, used to block repeated failed attempts.
• Navigation data — aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (page views, country, device type) collected via privacy-friendly analytics. This data does not identify you personally.

3 · Purpose & Legal Basis

We process your email solely to evaluate your demo, respond to your enquiry, or manage a booking (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) & (f)). Aggregated analytics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding site usage (Art. 6(1)(f)).

For the Starside Panel, we process account, payment and file data to provide the service you subscribe to and run the jobs you request (Art. 6(1)(b)); billing records to meet our tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)); and security data and card fingerprints on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the service and preventing abuse of the free trial (Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not use your files or results to train AI models, and we do not sell your data.

4 · Retention

Demo and enquiry emails are kept only as long as necessary to handle your request and our ongoing relationship, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form only.

• Uploaded audio files are deleted from our processing server as soon as the job ends.
• Job results are kept in your “My analyses” archive until you delete them or close your account. A working copy stays on our processing server for up to 7 days.
• Account data is kept while your account exists. Billing records are kept for 10 years, as required by Italian law.
• Sign-in security records are kept only for as long as needed to protect the service.

5 · Cookies

This site does not use advertising or profiling cookies. Only technical cookies strictly necessary for the site to function may be set, such as the session cookie that keeps you signed in to the Starside Panel. Any analytics in use is configured to be privacy-friendly and does not track you across other websites.

6 · Third-Party Processors

We rely on trusted providers to run this site: Vercel (hosting), Sanity (content management and account data), Cloudflare (DNS/network) and Zoho (email, including the confirmation emails of the Starside Panel). For the Starside Panel we also use Stripe (payment processing; its company Link is the reseller and merchant of record) and Anthropic (the Claude AI model, which receives the transcribed lyrics and audio measurements of your jobs, not your audio files). Audio files are processed on our own servers. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective data-processing terms.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7 · Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@starsidemusic.com. You can delete your results at any time from your account. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
